1952: Trésor, the birth of a fragrant myth

Hand-faceted 75 times to become as chiseled as a diamond, Trésor’s original bottle sparkled with a rare beauty. First designed by Georges Delhomme, it was an ingenious little beauty gem, made to contain an equally unique new oriental fragrance from the creative nose, Pierre Leplieux. And, as such, Trésor was more than a simple fragrance for women, it was a jewel in the French fragrance world’s crown.

So much so that in 1952 Lancôme founder Armand Petitjean hosted a stunning evening event at Paris’ Palais de Chaillot to celebrate the scent’s launch with all the pomp and circumstance it deserved. To this day, over seventy years later, Trésor perfume continues to seduce just as many women with its highly modern scent that still sparkles with timelessness.

Trésor, Lancôme.
