Soften your way to mascara success

Pale complexions, dark lashes, under-eye circles and heavily made-up eyelids... it doesn’t take much for a simple eye makeup look to become overly severe. To keep things looking fabulously fresh, look no further than this super-effective expert tip, taking two shades of mascara to troubleshoot your way to pretty perfection:

1) To nix signs of fatigue, start by restricting all but the darkest of mascara shades to the upper lashes. Then, opt for a more brown-colored eye shade for the lower lash line. Its discreet tone won’t just draw attention to upper lashes, it will also reduce the appearance of dark circles.

2) Next, to tone down a pale-skinned look, make like the pros and ditch the dark black eye makeup across both lash lines, opting instead for something much less dramatic with two coats of dark brown mascara.

No matter the scenario, always opt for a rich formula that serves up great coverage with a product like Hypnôse Drama in Excessive Black or Hypnôse Chromatics in #03 Saint Honoré which promise to thicken and volumize lashes by up to six times without heavy stickiness.
